Privacy Policy

1. Who this policy covers

This Privacy Policy applies to the Political Social iOS application and the Political Social website, both operated by Innovative AI Apps LLC ("we," "us"). It explains what information may be processed when you use the Service and the choices available to you.

2. Information we collect

Political Social is designed to limit the amount of personal information we collect.

We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not sell, rank, or broker access to individual political preferences.

Depending on the features you use, information associated with the Service may include:

• Information you voluntarily provide, such as an email address, username, profile information, support request, waitlist submission, or campaign-verification information.
• Account identifiers necessary to provide authentication and account functionality.
• Content you explicitly choose to publish or associate with your account.
• Limited technical information processed by service providers as necessary to provide authentication, hosting, security, or other features.
• Location or address information temporarily processed when you request location-based civic information, as described below.

Your ballot images and recognized ballot text are not automatically uploaded to us. We do not use your ballot or political preferences for targeted advertising.

Political Social does not currently use third-party advertising networks or cross-app advertising tracking.

3. Information stored on your device

Political Social stores certain information locally on your device so that core features can work without requiring an account.

Depending on the features you use, locally stored information may include:

• App preferences and onboarding status.
• Captured or imported ballot images.
• Text recognized from ballot images.
• Ballot drafts and saved ballot records.
• Vote Cards and audience selections.
• Other information necessary to restore your in-app experience.

Local information remains on the device unless you explicitly use a feature that uploads, publishes, synchronizes, or otherwise transmits it.

Deleting the app generally removes information stored only within the app's local storage. Information that you previously published or associated with an online account may need to be deleted separately through the applicable account or content controls.

4. Accounts and authentication

Political Social may offer optional account functionality for features such as social profiles, publishing, synchronization, subscriptions, and campaign tools.

You do not need an account to use core features that the app makes available without sign-in.

If you create an account, we may process information necessary to create, authenticate, maintain, and secure that account. This may include an account identifier, email address or other information provided by an authentication provider, username, and information you choose to add to your profile.

Political Social may use third-party authentication or backend providers to operate account features. Those providers process information on our behalf as necessary to provide their services and may maintain their own security or operational logs.

Creating an account does not automatically upload your ballot images, ballot-recognition text, or private political preferences.

If account deletion is available within the app, deleting your account will initiate deletion of information associated with the account that we control, subject to limited retention where required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or other legitimate purposes.

5. Location and district lookup

Political Social does not request background location access.

Device location is requested only when you choose a location-based feature, such as Use Current Location. Location is used to determine your political districts and representatives. You may also be able to provide a ZIP code or other location information manually.

To determine your district or retrieve location-specific civic information, certain information must be sent to outside data providers.

Depending on the lookup being performed:

• A ZIP code you provide may be sent to the U.S. Census Bureau, including TIGERweb or the Census Geocoder, to resolve your congressional district.
• A location request may be reverse-geocoded and sent to the Census Geocoder and, when applicable, the Google Civic Information API to retrieve address-specific civic or election information.
• Open States may receive a resolved latitude and longitude and state code for state-legislator lookups.
• Congress.gov and the Federal Election Commission may receive a resolved state or congressional district rather than your street address.

We do not intentionally maintain a history of your precise location for advertising or tracking purposes.

Third-party data providers may receive technical information ordinarily transmitted with an internet request, such as an IP address, and their own privacy practices apply to information processed by them.

ZIP codes are postal routes rather than political boundaries. A ZIP code that crosses a legislative district may produce a less precise result than an address-specific lookup.

6. Your ballot and voting record

Ballot text recognition is designed to run on your device. Captured ballot images and recognized ballot text are not automatically sent to us for recognition.

Recognition results are presented as an editable draft. You are responsible for reviewing and confirming the information before relying on or saving it.

A Vote Card is a self-reported record of choices you tell Political Social you made. It does not certify how a ballot was cast and is not verified by an election authority.

Saving a ballot record does not automatically make it public.

If we later offer an optional cloud synchronization, backup, or AI-assisted processing feature that requires ballot information to leave your device, Political Social will provide an appropriate disclosure before that information is transmitted and will update this policy as necessary.

Ballot-photography laws vary by jurisdiction. You are responsible for knowing and following the rules where you vote. Political Social may provide alternatives such as importing information or entering selections manually.

7. Sharing and social features

Political preferences are private unless you affirmatively choose to share them.

Where social publishing features are available:

• Sharing is off by default.
• You choose what information to publish.
• Political Social may allow different audiences, such as Private, Followers, or Everyone.
• A review screen may show what will be published before you confirm.
• Ballot images and raw recognized ballot text are not included in a published Vote Card unless a feature expressly tells you otherwise and you choose to share them.
• Choices marked Private are not intended to be displayed to other users.
• You may be able to unpublish previously shared content.
• Social or compatibility features may use only information that participants have made available for the applicable feature.

Content that you publish may be visible to other people according to the audience you select. People who can view published content may copy, screenshot, or otherwise retain it outside Political Social, which we cannot fully control.

We do not sell access to individual political preferences to candidates, campaigns, advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties.

Paid campaign features do not provide campaigns with access to private user voting records or political preferences.

8. Government data sources we query

Political Social uses public civic and election information from sources that may include:

• The U.S. Census Bureau
• Congress.gov
• The Office of the Clerk of the U.S. House of Representatives
• The U.S. Senate
• The Google Civic Information API
• Open States
• The Federal Election Commission
• State or local government election sources

Congressional map geometry may be bundled with the app and rendered locally, meaning ordinary map panning and zooming does not necessarily require your map interactions to be sent to a server.

Coverage from public data sources can be incomplete, delayed, inconsistent, or dependent on location. An empty result does not establish that no election exists, that a candidate is not running, or that you are not registered.

Always confirm voting information with your state or local election officials.

9. Third-party services

Political Social relies on third-party platforms and service providers to operate certain features.

Depending on the version of the Service and the features you use, these services may include Apple's platform services, civic-data providers, authentication providers, database or hosting providers, and payment services.

These providers may process limited information necessary to perform their services, such as authentication identifiers, network information, transaction information, or technical logs.

We do not permit third-party service providers to use private ballot selections or political preferences for targeted advertising on our behalf.

Apple processes App Store purchases and subscriptions under Apple's own terms and privacy practices. We do not receive your full payment-card information from Apple.

10. This website

Political Social's website is designed to minimize tracking.

We do not use the website to sell personal information or build advertising profiles of visitors.

Unless otherwise disclosed, Political Social does not use third-party advertising trackers on the website.

Our hosting provider may process standard server information, such as IP addresses, timestamps, requested URLs, device or browser information, and security-related information, as part of ordinary website operation.

Representatives, senators, elections, or races displayed on the website may be based on periodically refreshed public data and may not be synchronized in real time with the app.

Any sample social profiles, ballots, Vote Cards, political profiles, or similar demonstrations identified as examples are illustrative and should not be interpreted as real voting records.

11. Waitlists and communications

If you provide an email address to receive launch announcements, product information, or other updates, we use it for the purposes described when you submit it.

We do not sell your email address.

Marketing or update emails we send will include an appropriate way to unsubscribe. Transactional, account, security, or support communications may still be sent when necessary to provide the Service.

12. Children

Political Social is primarily designed for people of voting age and is not directed to children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child in circumstances prohibited by applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

13. Your choices and rights

You control whether to use optional location, account, publishing, and social features.

Depending on where you live, applicable privacy law may give you rights relating to personal information we maintain about you, including rights to request access, correction, or deletion of certain information.

You may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing or to receive information in a portable format where applicable.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights provided by applicable law.

We may need to verify that a request relates to you before acting on it.

14. Data retention and deletion

Information stored only on your device remains there until you delete it through the app, delete the app, or your device removes the applicable data.

For information associated with an account, we retain it for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service or until you delete the applicable content or account, subject to legitimate security, fraud-prevention, legal, operational, and dispute-resolution requirements.

Published information may remain visible until you unpublish or delete it. Copies made independently by other users or third parties may remain outside our control.

Support communications and other business records may be retained for a reasonable period when necessary for customer support, security, legal compliance, or recordkeeping.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Political Social develops.

When we make changes, we will update the effective date above. If a change materially affects how we handle personal information, we will provide additional notice where appropriate, such as through the app or website.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

When a new feature materially changes how personal information is collected, used, stored, or shared, this policy will be updated accordingly.
