Terms of Service
Political Social is an information tool, not an election authority. It cannot register you to vote, cast or certify a ballot, or confirm that your vote was counted. For anything that determines whether or how you vote, your state or local election officials are the authoritative source.

1. Accepting these terms
These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Innovative AI Apps LLC ("we," "us") covering the Political Social iOS application and this website (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. The Service is primarily designed for people of voting age.
2. What the Service is
Political Social helps you find who represents you, understand the races on your ballot, keep a private personal record of how you voted, and — only if you choose — share some of those choices with other people.
The Service is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any government body, election authority, political party, campaign, or candidate. It does not endorse candidates or tell you how to vote.
3. Accuracy of civic information
Officeholder, district, candidate, and election information is drawn from public and government sources. Those sources are updated on their own schedules, their coverage may be uneven or address-dependent, and they may sometimes disagree with one another.
We make a good-faith effort to present that information accurately and to identify its source, but we do not warrant that it is complete, current, or correct. An empty or missing result does not prove that no election exists, that a candidate is not running, or that you are not registered.
Candidate filings with the Federal Election Commission are not a certified ballot. State and local election officials determine which names qualify for the ballot. Before relying on anything for voting purposes — including registration status, deadlines, polling places, or what is actually on your ballot — confirm the information with your state or local election officials.
4. Ballots and self-reported records
Ballot recognition runs on your device and produces an editable draft. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting it. A saved record reflects what you told the app and nothing more.
A Vote Card is self-reported. It is not proof of how a ballot was cast, it is not verified by any election authority, and it must not be presented as certification of anyone's vote.
Laws regarding photographing ballots vary by state and locality, and some jurisdictions prohibit it. You are responsible for knowing and following the rules where you vote. You can use the Service without photographing a completed ballot.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Misrepresent someone else's vote or publish another person's political preferences without their consent.
- Impersonate a candidate, campaign, election official, or government agency.
- Spread false information about voting procedures, deadlines, eligibility, or polling places, or otherwise interfere with anyone's ability to vote.
- Harass, threaten, intimidate, or target any person or group.
- Scrape, bulk-collect, or resell civic data or other users' shared choices.
- Break the law, reverse-engineer the Service, disrupt the Service, or circumvent its technical or privacy protections.
We may remove content or suspend access for violations of these terms.
6. Your content
What you record stays yours. You retain all rights in the choices, notes, and other content you create.
When you explicitly publish something, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host and display it to the audience you selected for as long as you leave it published. That license ends when you unpublish it. We do not use your content to advertise to you or to anyone else.
7. Campaign tools and subscriptions
We may offer paid tiers for candidates and campaign teams. Any such subscription is sold and billed through the Apple App Store under Apple's terms. Payment, renewal, refunds, and cancellation are handled by Apple, and you can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple account settings. Prices and features are those shown in the App Store at the time of purchase.
Paid tiers do not buy ranking, placement, favorable treatment, removal of information about a candidate, or access to any individual's political preferences. Campaign features requiring verification are available only after we verify the authorized contact for that campaign.
8. Our intellectual property
The Service's software, design, and branding belong to Innovative AI Apps LLC. These terms grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service as distributed. Underlying government data is public and is not claimed by us.
9. Third-party data and services
The Service relies on public data providers and Apple's platform. We do not control these third parties, are not responsible for their availability or accuracy, and their own terms may apply to your use of information or services that originate with them.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or lost opportunities — including those arising from any voting decision, missed deadline, or missed election related to information provided through the Service.
Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us during the twelve months preceding the claim or one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100).
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
13. Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete the app at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that, by their nature, should survive termination will remain in effect.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Washington, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
15. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the effective date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app. Your continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
